The faculty members in the Department of Criminology represent a number of disciplines
including criminology, sociology, criminology, and social ecology. They are
dedicated to graduate and undergraduate teaching and several have received awards
for their teaching skills and effectiveness. The faculty members are dedicated
to developing new knowledge through research and disseminating that knowledge through
books, chapters and articles. These professors conduct research on a variety
of topics that is funded by federal, state, and local grants. Their recent
publications have appeared in top journals such as Criminology, Crime and Delinquency,
Journal of Research in Crime and Delinquency, Journal of Quantitative Criminology
and Justice Quarterly.
